Parental advisory warning: Kevin Federline has been chosen as Father of the Year by Details magazine, sharing the title with headline-grabbing Anna Nicole Smith baby daddy Larry Birkhead.
Federline showed off his gaudy "F" tattoo (for Federline, we assume) on the cover with the headline "Who's Your Daddy?" The former backup dancer made #7 on the 50 Most Influential Men under 45 list, beating out the founders of YouTube and Google, as well as NBC co-chairman Ben Silverman, Jay-Z, and U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration officer Andrew Bieniawski.
The article paints Federline, (a.k.a. "Fed-Ex"), as a minivan-driving soccer mom who watches Spongebob and Finding Nemo with his four kids, and opts to stay at home and decorate his kids' bedrooms rather than party or enjoy his pseudo-celebrity.
"To be a father is...everything," Details quotes the "rapper" as saying. "I mean, to me, it's the best thing in my life."
The article barely mentions K-Fed's ex-trainwreck Britney Spears, whose unpredictable antics and "frequent and habitual drug use" have given Federline custody of their two boys and have led the media to dub her "Unfitney." In comparison, Federline appears to be the fit parent, though speculation remains on the extent of his model parenting, especially given his mid-pregnancy dump of actress Shar Jackson, mother to his eldest two children, Kori and Kaleb.
Federline also uses the opportunity to plug his acting "career," stating he'd like to "play somebody other than a bad guy or an ass."
Sorry K-Fed, the best you can hope for is pimping your kids out to the Disney channel, à la Billy Ray Cyrus.
