Jose Pena's brother calls the the police shooting "cruel."
One of Pena's wives, the mother of the dead toddler, is going to sue the LAPD for wrongful death, stating "they need to pay." (clip)
Community artist/activist Mohammed Mubarak felt the LAPD "didn't use the right tactics" and "could have went the extra mile to save this baby's life."
Pena's other wife placed a 9-1-1 call earlier that day after he threatened her life.
34-year-old Jose Raul Pena, in case you were wondering, is the guy who, while under the influence of alcohol and coccaine, used his 19-month-old daughter, Susie, first as a hostage, then as a shield while firing at police and threatening to kill one of his wives, his 17-year-old stepdaughter and the toddler in a standoff.
I'm sorry. Who did we say was responsible for the wrongful death of this...?

i think that the police had to protect their own lifes but was there no better way if they were able to storm the house and arrest the suspect? makes you wonder what if it was you and yo really hadn't done anything?
