There are lots of tools for bloggers--some for the authors, some for the readers--many of which the tallglassofmilk has linked under (recently reformatted) Tool this... I do not wish to go into an endless post comparing the benefits of the tools I use vs. others, although I am interested in your opinions on this... or something important I might be missing, so feel free to get into that in the comments if you wish.
I do want to do two things: the first is to point out the tools that would make me (assume others too) much more likely to read your blog and the second is to ask you if there's anything I can do to improve your access to Drink this...
Ping BlogRolling.
[ping: http://rpc.blogrolling.com/pinger/ OR manual ping @ http://www.blogrolling.com/ping.phtml ]
Ideally, all bloggers would probably like to read all of the blogs on their blogrolls daily--it's just not realistic. That's why I organize my blogrolls in BlogRolling with the most recently updated clearly marked at the top. If you're not pinging BlogRolling, many--I'd even venture to say the majority--of your readers don't know you've updated.
Ping Technorati.
When I want pajamaheed conversation, I go to Technorati first. If you're talking about my topic of interest at that moment, I'd like to know about it. Plus, if you're not already a regular, you are denying your vanity its fulfillingnessest capacity by not checking your Technorati Cosmos.
Add your url to the TTLB Blogosphere Ecosystem.
Let's bloggers know who's linking to them and makes all bloggers aware of their place in the food chain stage of blogospheric evolution.
Make sure you're feeding this...
Feed aggregators are changing the way people get their information (I'm currently using Pluck with IE and Sage with Firefox). Generate or discover your RSS feed at Blogstreet.
Tell me what I can do to improve this...
I've already posted my feeds (RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and ATOM), links to syndicate via My Yahoo and Newsgator. I have been wanting to replace Bloglet as the email notifier but have yet to find a suitable replacement. I'm open to suggestions on this...
And now for the mother-load list of where to ping this...
I've spent a lot of time already giving you the links on this..., please take your time to research and register at the site before you start pinging this...
Also, I don't mind asking that if you find this post useful and implement these tools, a donation would be much appreciated for this...

This is one of the best lists of blog pinging services I have ever seen.
I have mentioned your post on my blog, and recommended that my readers click your blog's donation button, and reward you for your great work. You deserve it.

I was just compiling my list and found this.
Here's mine, in case it helps (linked here: http://www.ensight.org/archives/2004/11/21/services-to-ping/)

I've updated the list again. Now up to 37 separate services :)
I won't post it here for fear of swamping your blog with useless information.
