The fact that David Angell isn't around to see the end of the show he co-created and executive-produced along with co-producers Peter Casey and David Lee makes the series' end more than the usual bittersweet.
"We all think about how David should have been here for the 'Frasier' conclusion and just how sorely his presence is missed," says Casey of Angell, one of the three founding partners of their Grub Street Prods. "It just doesn't seem right. And it remains very hard for all of us."
Angell and Lynn, his beloved wife of 30 years, were killed on Sept. 11, 2001, when they had the grave misfortune of being onboard American Airlines Flight 11 -- the jet that was flown by hijackers into the World Trade Center's North Tower. He was 55. [full story]
