If you are a Cali resident then surely you are aware the recall election is coming up on Oct. 7.  The deadline to register to vote is Sept. 22.  Here is additional information on the October 7th Special Election including info on the recall, gubernatorial candidates, Prop. 53 and Prop 54.

I myself will be voting yes on the recall and yes on Arnold because 1. he is not Gray Davis, 2. he is not Cruz Bustamante, 3. he can not possibly do any more damage than these two jokers have already done and might actually improve the state of our state.  Arnold is by far the freshest candidate and is sure to provide the most entertainment and changes during the next few years.  Also, Arnold is a true success story of how LEGAL immigration works in our country and this state needs an overhaul in that department.

How ridiculous is this...?

Jayson Blair, the previously mentioned, factually challenged, former New York Times reporter, has landed a publishing deal with New Millennium Press for his story and will receive a mid six-figure advance for his memoirs to be titled "Burning Down My Master's House: My Life at The New York Times."

A source familiar with New Millenmium Publisher, Michael Viner, clued me into this precious gem of info: just last week Viner's company New Millenium Enterprises filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy after losing a multi-million dollar breach of contract suit. Isn't that just rich? Apparently Viner's image is already so battered, his association with Blair could actually be an improvement.

Must I go on? This is ludicrous--I actually had to look this spelling up because my musically oriented mind is so accustomed to Ludacris (Alysa's rapper of choice). I will be researching New Millennium Press further and boycotting them for sure. I will likely get a letter off to them today... With all the BS going on in politics and important elections coming up, it is important to get educated not only on the current issues and candidates but also on your current representatives.

Project Vote Smart provides loads of information on all elected officials and candidates including their answers on the National Political Awareness Test (NPAT). The NPAT shows you where your elected official stands on important issues IF they are brave enough to fill it out.

You will discover that many elected officials, including our president and my current representative (whom I plan to vote against next year), have refused to complete it after repeated requests from Project Vote Smart, CNN, Fox, The Washington Post and numerous others. Doesn't this leave you feeling just maybe they are trying to conceal how they really feel on issues...?
