KIMORA LEE SIMMONS was her usual exuberant self at Wednesday night’s “Life and Style” cocktail party. Hosted by Jules Asner, Cynthia Garrett and comedian, Lynda Koplitz at the Chelsea set of the show, Kimora held court in a Baby Phat t-shirt, Dolce & Gabbana mini and towering heels. The  statuesque fashionista sipped orange martinis as she chatted about the upcoming show explaining that it’s a “talk show extension of ‘Sex and the City’ merged with InStyle magazine.” Asner and Koplitz assigned the sexy roles of HBO’s hit series saying “Kimora is more like Samantha. I’ve seen that girl naked more than I’ve seen myself naked.” What did Simmons have to say to that? “What? I’m married!” said Simmons.

Who Really Designed Baby Phat Pink?

Kimora Lee Simmons became a modeling titan when she was just a girl, before marrying music mogul Russell Simmons, who’s crafted the careers of hip-hop giants Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys and LL Cool J -- but it's not all glitz and glamour for the Simmons: she was recently arrested on several charges including pot possession, and now they’ve both been slapped with a federal lawsuit charging designer theft over their Baby Phat clothing line.

In the suit, designer A’lone Alakazia claims he often worked, "Eighteen hours a day, seven days a week... To create, design… and produce the Collection... ‘Baby Phat Pink,’" a branch of the Baby Phat clothing line. The documents also claim that the Simmons had their employees, "…physically remove and bar (Alakazia) from the premises..."

New York attorney Daniel Crupain represents Alakazia in the suit and he told us the Simmons, "Were physical. They just took him out -- it was a total surprise and a shock."

Crupain says the shock was made worse by the sight of Kimora on the Oprah Winfrey show saying she created Baby Phat Pink.

Simmons' Wife's Arrest To Make His Show

The recent arrest of hip-hop mogul RUSSELL SIMMONS' wife KIMORA LEE is providing ideal material for the rapper's new COURT TV series.

The American show HIP-HOP JUSTICE investigates whether law enforcement unjustly targets rappers - and could prove the perfect forum for Russell's spouse to claim her innocence, following her arrest on 25 July (04) for reckless driving and drug possession.

Russell tells gossip site PAGESIX.COM, "I am always looking for new material for my new show, but I didn't think my family would be candidates."
