Lionel Richie has kept things close to home for his latest music video casting his daughter in the lead role.

The "Simple Life" star has been spotted on the Beverly Hills set of the promo for "I Call It Love, " relaxing with her pet Pomeranian pooch Foxxy and a hunky co-star, who plays her love interest in the promo.

Nicole Richie also reveals she is planning to follow in rival Paris Hilton's footsteps and launch her own singing career - and has already written six tracks for her debut album.

"Right now I'm just writing and recording. The way that a record goes, you sing up to 20 or 30 songs and then pick your favourite 10. I'm about six songs in."
