Best new hip hop artist sore loser over this...

Kanye West
2006 MTV Europe Awards - Copenhagen, Nov. 2, 2006

Never passing up an opportunity to put his arrogance on display, Kanye West, who was named Best Hip Hop artist at the 2006 MTV Europe Video awards last night, outdid even himself by insulting fellow artists Justice and Simian and whoever is responsible for the voting when his own video for "Touch the Sky" did not win for best video.

Quoting this...

"If I don't win, the awards show loses credibility."

Puhleeeeeeeeeeeze. Get over yourself, Kanman.  But please keep up the attitude so everyone else will get over you, too.

Diamonds might be forever, but they're not free to this...

Legendary diva DAME SHIRLEY BASSEY is furious after discovering rapper KANYE WEST sampled her 1971 hit DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER in his single DIAMONDS FROM SIERRA LEONE.

The 68-year-old star is considering legal action after West used the chorus from the JAMES BOND soundtrack song and alleges his record label Roc-A-Fella never approached her, reports British newspaper the Daily Mail.

Bassey says, "I didn't know anything about the song before its release.

"He didn't ask my permission to have me singing on the his song. I didn't even know it existed until I heard him performing at the Live 8 concert. I didn't even hear from his record company, which wasn't very nice.

"(Legally) it's something I want to look into, because he was very cheeky, so one way or another he is going to have to pay me a lot of money."

Suge shot at this...

I'm not at all surprised by this...

The MTV Video Music Awards escaped the drama and damage of Hurricane Katrina. On Sunday night, they faced being overshadowed by another dangerous name _ Suge Knight.

The Death Row Records founder, who has been at the center of some of hip-hop's most violent moments, was shot in the leg early Sunday morning at a party thrown by Kanye West and attended by stars including Jessica Alba, Eddie Murphy, Paris Hilton, the Game and The Black Eyed Peas.

Although Knight's injuries were not life-threatening, the violence dampened the celebratory vibe of the event. MTV said the shooting would not affect the show. [...]
