British electronica band Goldfrapp has reportedly been approached to record the theme tune for the forthcoming James Bond movie.
Frontwoman Alison Goldgrapp and keyboardist Will Gregory are in talks with 007 musical director David Arnold to compose the main track for Daniel Craig's first outing as Bond in "Casino Roayle."
A source tells British newspaper Daily Mirror, "Alison and Will are absolutely thrilled. Nothing has been signed yet, but they're the hot favourites. They're a slightly cooler choice than you'd expect, but producers are determined to make Casino Royale the edgiest Bond yet to appeal to younger people."

Update 07.04.06:
James Bond bosses are fuming after a spoof movie poster falsely claimed GOLDFRAPP are performing the theme song for new movie "Casino Royale."
007 composer David Arnold is baffled by the rumours - which he claims were started by an over-eager fan who created his own movie poster, crediting Goldfrapp. Arnold, who refuses to reveal the identity of the real Bond singer, says, "A Bond fan made up a fake poster that listed Goldfrapp in the music credits and put it on the internet. A French website decided it was real so published a story."
That's a damn shame. I was looking forward to this...
