Greg Walker, CEO of Icon Entertainment announced his filing of a $1.5 million dollar lawsuit in New York State's Supreme Court against multi-platinum superstar Beyoncé Knowles, her mother/manager Tina Knowles and Wear Me Apparel Corp. Walker secured a $15 million deal for Beyoncé to create her "House of Dereon" clothing line with Wear Me Apparel Corp., but has not been properly paid by either Beyonce & Tina Knowles or Wear Me Apparel Corp. for his role in facilitating the business relationship.
In August of 2003, Greg Walker was hired by Tina and Beyoncé Knowles to help secure endorsement and licensing opportunities to increase her profile. Tina Knowles made two payments to Walker totaling $25,000 on behalf of her daughter Beyoncé for his role in securing the deal with Wear Me Apparel Corp., but failed to pay Walker the remainder of his fee as previously agreed upon.
"Beyoncé and Tina Knowles agreed on the terms of our business relationship, but have failed to properly compensate me for reasons unknown to me," says Greg Walker, CEO of Icon Entertainment. "I just want to receive my fair share and move on with my business."
Wear Me Apparel Corp. is also cited in the suit. Wear Me Apparel has only paid $85,000 to date for his services. Walker is suing the company for $1.5 million for also failing to make proper payments.
