As many longtime readers know, Answer this... was originally inspired by search referrals to Drink this... Sometime in 2004, after a post on Matt Kenseth and another about Katie Holmes, Googlers were visiting looking for Matt Kenseth's wife Katie. This... is Katie Kenseth became the first entry in a category that would eventually take on a life of its own: NASCAR Wives and Girlfriends.

These days, most of the inquiries come directly from the tallglassofmilk inbox, but I still keep an eye on the keywords for inspiration -- and amusement. Some inquiries have been answered, some simply cannot be answered and some just don't deserve to be answered. Others beg me to have some fun with this...

Chrissy Wallace makes talk show debut on this...

NASCAR diversity driver Chrissy Wallace makes her first-ever talk show appearance on "The Bonnie Hunt Show," Wednesday, Nov. 5. Chrissy talks to Bonnie about her recent crash and what it is like to compete in the male-dominated sport in which the Wallace name is well known. Her dad makes an appearance in Bonnie's audience.

Chrissy also reveals that she has received criticism from both men and women for participating in such a male-driven sport but that it just, "makes me want to achieve more."  She admits to relying on the support she receives from her family and fellow racer Tony Stewart.

But being in an extreme sport doesn't mean that Chrissy can't be sexy and Bonnie proves that when she shows a glamour photo of Chrissy which elicits cheers from the crowd. Then, Chrissy autographs a racing flag that will be available on an upcoming "Bonnie Hunt" auction to benefit the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center in Chicago, where Bonnie was once an oncology nurse.

Q. Who was the woman with Tony Stewart during Saturday's pre-race ceremonies whom he hugged, kissed and sent over the pit wall before climbing into his car?
A. That was Chrissy Wallace, who is mentored by Smoke and sponsored by him in the Late Model series.

Q. Um, are we missing something here? Has their relationship developed into more than driver/mentor? Is Chrissy Tony's girlfriend?
A. Hmmm. It's happened before ... Time will tell. Maybe. For now, let your imaginations run wild!

Chrissy Wallace furthers NASCAR's diversity drive with this...

Chrissy Wallace, daughter of NASCAR driver Mike Wallace and niece of former champion Rusty Wallace, has signed with Germain Racing as a truck series development driver.  She will begin running ARCA and short-track races for the team in June.

Quoting this...
"She's a good, real cute girl who will mix it up with the guys. The first team that gets one female driver in the Cup will be helped from a marketing standpoint."

Her last name won't hurt marketing efforts any either. I think I speak for most Answer this... readers when I say we'd all like to see Chrissy make it to the Cup series one day.

But hey, Mike, better keep an eye on your lil' one. And be very wary of any NASCAR owner who goes around saying your daughter is "a real cute girl." I'm not suggesting anything ... I'm just saying. See also: Ray Evernham / Erin Crocker.
