Improper credentials lead to altercation with this...

Q. Was Kasey Kahne arrested? I heard he got into an altercation with a track official?
A. Altercation ... yes. Arrest ... not yet. He is, however, under investigation following an incident with a security guard at Homestead-Miami Speedway which arose as a result of his brother, Kale, not being properly credentialed.

The unidentified security guard was apparently so worked up after the commotion that had to be taken to the infield care center due to elevated blood pressure. I shudder to think what his condition would be if the encounter had occurred with a more intimidating driver like, oh, I don't know ... Tony Stewart.

Raygan Swan doesn't mention it in her article ... but I heard the gloves came off handcuffs came out. And I really wish someone had snapped a picture of this...

NASCAR beauties battle for the title of this...

NASCAR Champ Jeff Gordon's wife is undefeated after several rounds of the Hottest Sports Wives and Girlfriends contest which started at OurBookofScrap.com and continues at epiccarnival.com.

Nothing against Ingrid and her new mommy gorgeousness, but the fans can only take so much dominance before the reigning champion must be dethroned! Discussions were had ... ideas and emails exchanged, nominations received ... and the woman identified as the hottest NASCAR WAG by the drivers themselves was offered up.

I think we chosen wisely. Clint Bowyer's girlfriend, Athena Barber, is the first in a line of many who has been able to maintain the lead in the votes for any significant period of time. 890 votes have been cast so far and Athena looks on track to take over the title with her current 60/40 lead. She's on fire ... or, as one Fanhouse reader put it, she's "hotter than doughnut grease."

Megan Meier thought she had made a new friend in cyberspace when a cute teenage boy named Josh contacted her on MySpace and began exchanging messages with her. Teen's parents say she thought she had made a friend through the social networking web site MySpace. Megan, a 13-year-old who suffered from depression and attention deficit disorder, corresponded with Josh for more than a month before he abruptly ended their friendship, telling her he had heard she was cruel. The next day Megan committed suicide. Her family learned later that Josh never actually existed; he was created by members of a neighborhood family that included a former friend of Megan's. Now Megan's parents hope the people who made the fraudulent profile on the social networking web site will be prosecuted, and they are seeking legal changes to safeguard children on the Internet.
