Rumors of a personal relationship between Teresa Earnhardt and the driver hand-picked by her late husband exist but cannot be confirmed. Congratulations are due to NCTS driver Brendan Gaughan and his new bride, Tatum Hayes. The Las Vegas natives tied the knot in Vail, Colo. on Saturday.
TGOM has confirmed that the couple is not expecting, as was previously suggested by another source.

RITES OF PASSAGE
Congratulations to NASCAR driver Jason Leffler and wife Alison, daughter of USAC Champion Bobby East, on the birth of the first child. Charlie Dean Leffler, was born Thursday, Aug. 16 just before 7PM. Charlie, who was named to honor his paternal grandfather, weighed in at 6 lbs., 9 ozs. and was 20.5 inches long.
Condolences to the family, friends and fans of former NASCAR driver Christian Stuart Elder, 38, who died Sunday at his Cornelius, N.C. home.
Born December 6, 1968, in Minneapolis, Minn., he was a son of John Stuart and Sherry Hansen Elder, of Bloomington, Minn. Elder was a Project Manager for Elder-Jones, Inc. He was a race car driver in the NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, winning at Daytona and Lowes Motor Speedway. In addition to his parents, Elder is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Elder, of St. Louis Park, Minn.; brother, Justin Elder and wife, Sara, and their son, Nolan; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Hansen, of Bloomington, Minn.; and his two best buddies, his dogs, Yukon and Henry.
A service will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, August 20, at Normandale Hylands United Methodist Church, 9922 Normandale Boulevard South, Bloomington, Minn., with visitation one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, National Mail Processing Center, P.O. Box 6003, Albert Lea, MN 56007-6603.
