... I'm 32 years old, and in the back of my head a clock is always ticking. Each year the ticking gets louder, and my desire to produce results gets stronger. My father was the same age when he made the very difficult decision to leave Bud Moore and drive for Richard Childress. Looking back, it was the wisest decision he ever made, not because it produced six championships, but because he realized it was better to take a chance than to go the rest of his life wondering, "What if…?"

... Money is not a factor here. Revenue from souvenir sales is even less of a factor. I've heard people say, "There's not a bank in the world that could hold the money you'd make if you drove the 3 car." Do people really think I'm so shallow that I would drive my dad's number just for financial gain? If and when that day comes that I drive the 3 car, it will be for the right reasons. And I better have earned that right.

... I'm still going to give my 100% effort in wheelin' that No. 8 Budweiser Chevy as fast as it will go for the rest of the season. I still have some unfinished business to take care of, and I hope you will join me as we finish out the season – my last season – in the No. 8 car.

Scott Zipadelli: It's kind of funny. My friends brought that to my attention. It's nice to know you have some fans out there. But I pretty much fly under the radar, I don't exactly know how to answer that question ... I want to get married someday, I know that.

Lunders: NASCAR Q&A with this...

Nicole Lunders:

"When [Greg] told me he drove trucks, I seriously thought he drove Monster Trucks! I didn't see him again for several months until I went to a truck race in Portland [Ore.]. We exchanged numbers in Michigan and had friendly flirtatious conversations for a long time and then in Monroe [Wash.] we had our first date.

I fell in love with his personality; he wasn't like anyone I had met before. Greg has this way of making people feel really good about themselves. I transferred to a satellite college in Vancouver to be with him and we've been together ever since."

I'm lucky enough to be able to go to work with Greg. Other women in professional sports like the NFL and baseball can't necessarily do that. If I didn't travel with him, I'd never see him. During the week he's busy at the shop, he has testing and sponsor events.

I have a lot of support out here and see the same people every weekend. I've made a lot of great friends and we are all like family. Katie Kenseth, Matt's wife, is a great friend. She really took care of me when I got here. She and I spend a lot of time together going back and forth between our motor homes. She's a bridesmaid in our wedding. And during the races, all of the wives and girlfriends always text each other throughout the race, it helps the time go a little faster.

I also do my Pilates in the motor home. I put my mat down, turn on the video and lock the door, ha! Pilates has some pretty strange positions.
