Adrienne Groce is the former fianceé of third-generation NASCAR driver, Jon Wood. Jon and Adrienne met through a group of friends at the end of the 2005 season and became romantically involved in the spring of 2006. The couple experienced ups and downs in 2007 breaking up and rebounding to get engaged only to later break their engagement.
The majority of Adrienne's time with Jon was spent when he was at home, rather than on the road for races, which she enjoys at home with her family. The couple kept a low profile and found that doing so contributed favorably to the maintenance of a "normal" relationship.
Adrienne wasn't into NASCAR prior to getting involved with Jon, but she has come to appreciate the series. Since witnessing just a small fraction of the hard work, dedication and love for racing that Jon, his family and everyone involved has invested, the sport has earned her utmost respect.
Adrienne, 24, is a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina Charlotte, where she received a B.A. in elementary education. A native of Randleman, N.C., she currently resides in Charlotte and shares pet-parental responsibilities of the couple's two Yorkshire Terriors, Bailey and Klia.
