The Inaugural Ms. Eldora Speedway Pageant is this Thursday at Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
Sandwiched between the Nextel Prelude to the Dream on Wednesday and the 12th annual Dirt Late Model Dream on Friday and Saturday, the Ms. Eldora Speedway contest will be contested Thursday, June 8 in the Eldora Ballroom, located just outside of turn four on the massive Eldora grounds.
With lucrative prizes at stake, including appearances at all of Eldora's major events, $2,000 and a trip to the 2007 Indy 500 to view the race in Tony Stewart's personal suite, the contest has attracted a full cast of 25 entrants. More than 15 entries had to be returned, as the maximum number of entrants was fulfilled much earlier than anticipated.
The 25 applicants in the contest will compete in three categories of stage appearance: sportswear, on the town and swimsuit, and will be asked a series of questions and judged accordingly.

The only one familiar to the tallglassofmilk is popular dirt racing trophy girl and Speed promotional model Summer Nix. 
Dirt on the track is that Miss Muddslinger South dates ARCA RE/MAX driver and NASCAR hopeful Jeremy Clements, who returned to the wheel again last fall after recovering from a series of reconsructive surgeries and months of physical therapy following a freak racing injury in 2004.
Ms. Eldora Speedway's first obligation will be to reign over Friday and Saturday's lucrative Dirt Late Model Dream, where the leading drivers from across the country join to compete for the rich $100,000 payoff at the completion of the 100 lap main event. Matt Miller is the defending champion, as the richest payoff in the Nation for Late Models unfolds for the 12th edition.
Update 6.10.06: The Ms. Eldora Speedway 2006 pageant is in the books. A capacity crowd was on hand in the ballroom this evening to witness the crowing of Tiffany Wamhoff as the first ever Ms. Eldora Speedway.
Getting crowned as first runner up and accompanying Wamhoff at all events will be Sarah Linhart. Dusti Rayburn received the 2nd runner-up honors and will help Tiffany and Sarah with projects throughout the year.
