Britney Summer Hagy is a recent short-term girlfriend of Kasey Kahne, driver of the Evernham Motorsports #9 Dodge Dealers Dodge in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series.

Fans first took notice of Britney standing next to Kasey on pit road during pre-race ceremonies at Texas Motor Speedway in early April, when Kasey scored his second win of the season. She later appeared in victory lane photos and on the televised broadcast of the Pit Crew Challenge alongside Kasey supporting his crew. On May 27, Evernham Motorsports Fan Appreciation Day, Kasey confirmed that he had a girlfriend for inquiring fans during a Q&A. They dated for a short time.

Britney is currently enrolled in the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Her goal is to obtain a Ph.D. in nursing, train to be a CRNA and begin her own research projects focusing on quality of life for cancer patients. She volunteers her time to the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition helping with various fundraisers.

Following her 2002 hometown high school graduation in Abigndon, Va., Britney attended VU, where she studied pre-med and graduated in 2006. In addition to her studies there, she modeled, led an active Greek life as a Tri Delt and was a Vanderbilt Student Volunteer for Science, striving to increase the level of science literacy and raise the interest of college students in teaching science.

This October, Britney competed with 20 young women from across the Kentucky, Virginia and Tennessee region and was crowned Miss Food City 2007. She will represent the supermarket chain during the NASCAR Nextel Cup Food City 500 and the Busch Series Food City 250 races and events at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2007. In addition to those responsibilities, Britney will represent Food City at various other company events.
