NASCAR's new model is on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tonight.
I went to Carl Edwards' Ferguson taping today and got to hang a short while with Randy (the Roush dude in charge), Tom (Carl's coach driver), and some other young, tall and fine Roush dude whose name I can't recall. Sorry dude. And thanks too, hunky dude, for snapping the photo. And sorry, Tom, that I couldn't have been more optimistic about the traffic on the 40 mile hike back to Fontana on the 10 Fwy in rush hour.
Carl is quite endearing and the thing that I enjoyed the most today was watching Carl shrug off the producers' suggestions of rushing out to avoid his exit coinciding with the audience's release--something I imagine most talk show guests appreciate. But Carl responded inquisitively, "What's wrong with the audience?" Producer girl expressed concern over the guest being accosted by the audience. Carl laughed it off and said, "Do you know how many fans I deal with?" But not in an arrogant, cocky kinda way, more in an appreciative 'that ain't nothing, they're no bother to me' kinda way.
I know it's hard to stay up for this..., but Carl gives a very entertaining interview so turn the sandman away and tune in to this...
