Catalina Maya is the wife of race car driver Adrian Fernandez. The pair got engaged in Japan in April of 2004 and were married on March 11, 2005 in her native Colombia. The couple has two children: a daughter, Valentina (b. April 29, 2007), and a son, Niko (b. May 12, 2008).
Catalina (aka Mayan Catherine) is a print, runway and commercial model who began her career at the age of 13 with the Agencia Informa de Medellín in Colombia. She has appeared in numerous print ads and has been featured on the cover of Alo and Sedal magazines, among others. Her first commercial was for Palmolive. She also appeared in a couple of Colombian TV series.
Catalina studied communciations at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana and aspires to be a journalist. Her native language is Spanish, but she is also fluent in English. She was born in Medellin, Colombia on July 28, 1980. She is blonde, stands 5'6" tall and weighs 100 lbs.
