Shannon Wiseman is a former short-term girlfriend of NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Junior, along with the entire MTV generation, was introduced to Shannon on the "Wannabe a VJ3" contest in the spring of 2000--she was runner up. At Jr.'s request, a mutual friend personally introduced him to the University of North Carolina Charlotte student and he asked her out. She declined.
But in October of 2000, Junior co-hosted a local radio show at WEND (106.5), where Shannon was an intern. The show's host, Kristen Honeycutt, asked Jr. on air if he knew her. "Oh yeah! I know her, and I even asked her out, but she told me she had a boyfriend1," he answered. Shannon called in during the next commercial break and told Kristen he just hadn't tried hard enough. So, he tried harder and the two dated for a brief period.
In 2001, Shannon was a member of the Charlotte Hornets' dance team, the Honeybees. Then, in 2002, while modeling for Marilyn's Inc., she applied to become Miss Winston. Shannon was selected and served in that position from 2002-2003, taking over where Cielo Garcia left off. She went on to be an anchor/reporter on WCCB-TV for various shows, including "Fox News Edge" and UPN69's "Atlanta Tonight."

Shannon is the daughter of Douglas and Pamela Wiseman of Dallas, N.C. She currently resides in Atlanta, Ga. She turns 27 this month.
