Sara Haskins is the fiancée of NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Timothy Peters. Sara and Timothy met through mutual friends while Sara was a sophomore in college. They began dating in May of 2001 and Sara accepted Timothy's marriage proposal on Valentine's Day, 2002.
The couple, who wanted to wait until their careers were settled before they took the trip down the aisle, will wed on May 19, 2007.
Sara is a 2003 graduate of Radford University. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and currently works as a speech-language pathologist with elementary school age children.
She is also a model with Marilyn's, Inc., and a former pageant contestant. Sara won many titles across the state of Virginia, including Junior Miss Virginia and Senior Miss Virginia. She also won Miss Greater Franklin County 2002 which allowed her to become a state finalist in the 2002 Miss Virginia Pageant.
Sara was was born and raised in Danville, Va., just a 10 minute distance from Timothy's hometown of Providence, N.C. She is the daughter of Robert and Pamela Haskins and has one older brother, Brad. Her birthdate is March 4, 1981.
