A native of Toronto, Suzie McNeil was born into a musical family. She was practically raised singing with her mother and sister, learning to collaborate from a very early age.
From that foundation, Suzie evolved into a versatile, powerful artist, who combines a magnetic stage presence with vocal and multi-instrumental (piano, guitar, harmonica) ability. It's no wonder Suzie has already achieved that rarest of goals -- working full-time as a professional musician -- for the last five years.
Keeping Toronto as her home base, Suzie has compiled an impressive record of musical accomplishments. These range from live gigs with some of Canada's top acts (Alan Frew, Garth Hudson, Ronnie Hawkins) to lucrative commercial jingles to an ongoing starring role as Agnetha in the musical tribute show "Abba Mania," which she has performed in front of crowds of up to 15,000 people. Most recently, Suzie was the last woman standing in CBS television's reality series "Rock Star: INXS."
Suzie never lost her attraction to original material. In the past, she has collaborated on projects with fellow Canadian songwriters Sean Cotton and Alison McLean. She is hard at work on a new album as you read this. Stay tuned!
