Kimberly Labonte was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas but has resided in North Carolina for over 25 years. She has been the Business Manager of Labonte Motorsports, LLC since its development in 1990. Being the wife and mother of NASCAR drivers, she has been involved in this sport for many years. Her husband, Terry Labonte, is a two-time NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion and her son, Justin Labonte, is a rising star in the NASCAR Busch Series. Her daughter, Kristy, also takes a keen interest in the family's racing.
Kim is active in many charitable organizations such as Hendrick Marrow Program, Roam for a Home Foundation and Women's Auxiliary of Motorsports. Last year she participated in The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation 3-day, 60-mile walk in Washington D.C. to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Spending time outdoors is a joy in life for Kim. In 1996, she completed a 10-day Outward Bound course with the Pacific Crest Outward Bound School in Medford, Oregon. She continues to enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, white water rafting and camping.
