Krissie Newman is the wife of NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Ryan Newman and the co-founder of The Ryan Newman Foundation.
Krissie Boyle met Ryan in the fall of 2001 while clerking for a judge in North Carolina. They were set up on a blind date by Krissie's grandmother and a church friend. It started with a 2-hour phone call and then a first date, which consisted of dinner, a movie and bowling. The rest is history. The couple was married on Jan. 3, 2004 and they honeymooned in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Even though she didn't know what a stock car was before meeting Ryan, Krissie's life and marriage now revolve around her husband's career (she travels to more than 40 races a year) and their philanthropic efforts. Krissie is a volunteer board member of The Humane Society of Catawba County. She holds a B.S. in Criminal Science from Shippensburg University.
