Doubt it. A rough beginning to one season and everyone thinks Dale Jr.'s ready to throw the towel in on the company his father and stepmother built? Doesn't sound like the Dale Jr. I know. Besides, he's under contract through the 2007 season, and I doubt there's another team racing to the bank for a loan to buy DEI out of this...
Update 7.2.05: Martin Truex Jr. has resigned with DEI stating "loyalty, consistency and friendship" are what compelled him to stay with DEI rather than go for more money elsewhere.
This should further put to rest any rumors of Junior leaving DEI. Hard to imagine he'd get his protege to sign for all those reasons and then leave himself.
