On June 3–5, 2005, Katie Kenseth will be joining other walkers on a 50-mile walk from Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, N.C., to Victory Lane at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte to raise money for the National MS Society and its mission to end the devastating effects of MS.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, potentially disabling disease of the central nervous system. Its symptoms come and go without any pattern or warning and range from fatigue, difficulty walking and double vision to paralysis and blindness.
Katie’s good friend, Diane Dorton, was recently diagnosed with MS.Diane is the widow of Randy Dorton, who was the head engine builder for Hendrick Motorsports. And Dana Kenseth, the wife of Matt’s first cousin Steve (who is also on the DeWALT crew), is afflicted with the disease as well.
Katie’s goal is to raise over $5000 in the MS Walk to fight this awful disease.
