Sign up former "Moesha" star and Kevin Federline ex Shar Jackson as the founding member of CASM - Celebrities Against Star Magazine.
Lowdown hears that Federline's Babymama No. 1 has vowed never again to deal with Bonnie Fuller's glossy tabloid after Star's reps promised to run glam photos and a flattering article about her recording and acting career in exchange for an exclusive interview - and then ran a nasty paparazzi shot and a humiliating story.
A Lowdown spy reports: "Star was like, 'We want to make this about Shar, not Kevin. This will make her look good, this will change her image.' They said they'd promote the record she's working on and her new acting projects."
But after a long sit-down and a three-hour photo shoot of Jackson with makeup, hair and wardrobe stylists, the mag ran a piece titled "Kevin Still Loves Me," which focused on Mr. Britney Spears - the father of her 2-year-old daughter, Kori, and 1-year-old son, Kaleb - and didn't even mention Jackson's new album or acting career.
Worse, Star didn't use any photos from the formal shoot, but instead splashed a half-page paparazzi-type picture - snapped against her wishes - of an unhappy-looking Jackson with her kids as they left the interview.
"She was baited," says the spy. "She felt like it was a bait and switch."
Star's executive news director Mark Coleman told Lowdown: "That's not true, but we look forward to working with her as much as possible in the future. We think Shar's fantastic, and we've always tried to write about her as accurately and positively as possible. God knows she has a lot to deal with."
I'm sure that the 28-year-old Shar - and her latest love interest, "Kill Bill" director Quentin Tarantino - are unimpressed by Coleman's sympathetic noises. Jackson's manager, Adam Seid, declined to comment.
