Planning a better solution to this...

Heather MacDonald, Manhattan Institute:

The breakdown of our immigration laws has come to this: Not only do illegal aliens have a de facto right to live here without penalty, but they also have the right, it seems, to live here without having their piece of mind disturbed by the possibility that they face any chance of being deported. This sense of entitlement does a great injustice to the thousands of law-abiding foreigners who are patiently waiting to enter the country legally, and it makes a mockery of our laws.

Duh.

Read the whole transcript of a panel discussion held on the new book The Immigration Solution: A Better Plan Than Today's, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, October 30, 2007.

Denying sanctuary to this...

Finally. Some members of Congress are at least pretending to get real about enforcing our existing immigration laws. I have long said that we can't even get to a place of evaluating how effective our current laws, quotas, etc. are if we aren't even enforcing what we already have in place.

Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite (R-FL) has introduced new legislation that would require local law enforcement agencies to uphold federal laws, rather than ignore them. Can you believe we even need a law to enforce a law? SIGH.

HR 3531, The Accountability in Enforcing Immigration Laws Act of 2007, would:

  • Affirm and clarify that state and local law enforcement officials have the authority to apprehend and arrest illegal aliens encountered in the course of their routine duties;
  • Provide additional federal funding to cooperating law enforcement agencies for the costs of apprehension and detention; and
  • Revoke 25 percent of non-emergency federal Homeland Security funding for sanctuary cities that refuse to change their policies.

Awesome. Maybe now when a police officer pulls over a drunk illegal alien, they can begin the deportation process immediately rather than putting the person back into our community to potentially kill one of our citizens. Or when they're found on Home Depot's sidewalk begging for work and littering it up while they wait. Or any other regularly occurring scenario which allows foreigners to run rampant in our society with no accountability.

It would be a long road, but proper enforcement would ultimately lead to discouragement of illegal migration as opposed to the way we encourage them to work the red carpet we have rolled out for them now.

Want to encourage your representative to sign this legislation? Californians for Population Stabilization has made it quite easy for you and already prepared draft letters. Click here, plug in your zip code and send your letter immediately.

LAPD sued for "don't ask don't tell" policy towards this...

LAPD officers are suing the department over it's "don't ask, don't tell" immigration policy because they're tired of arresting the same drug offenders over and over.

Bravo.

I'm tired of them killing people. I hope the family of Bob Clark sues the LAPD, too, and the federal government along with them for criminal neglect.

Keep 'em out or the problem gets bigger with this...

Should we care that Mexican gangs are using the internet to recruit members for their gangs and drug cartels?

Um, considering we do nothing to keep them out of our country, that's a definitive yes. This is our problem, too.

Oh, Fuuudge... We should have deported this...

Death by Illegal Immigrant: Hollywood Director Bob Clark ("A Christmas Story"), 65, and son Ariel Hanrath-Clark, 22

Alleged killer: Mexican national Hector Velazquez-Nava. Drunk-driving into the wrong lane on the Highway of Death (PCH)

Status: Immigration hold. Arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence  and gross vehicular manslaughter.

What's gross is it Now that he's killed two people, authorities want to deport him.

Previously: Alison Kunhardt and Tessa Tranchant, killed by a vehicle at the hands of Alfredo Ramos, an illegal immigrant with three alcohol-related convictions on his record.

Who should be prosecuted for the deaths of this...?

Teenagers Alison Kunhardt and Tessa Tranchant would still be alive if the Commonwealth of Virginia and city of Virginia Beach had enforced federal immigration laws.

Civil liberties and immigration advocates sued federal officials Tuesday on behalf of children confined to a former Texas prison-turned-center for immigrant families awaiting possible deportation.

An 80-year prison sentence for Raul Gomez Garcia can't begin to make up for what's been lost.

Kelly and Courtney Young
Kelly Young, right, widow of police Detective Donald Young, and their daughter, Kourtney, listen Wednesday during the sentencing of Raul Gomez-Garcia (Photo: George Kochaniec Jr.)

Reports say that Det. Donald Young's murderer declined to be present during sentencing because he didn't want to hear the anguished testimony of his victim's widow or former partner.  If I was the judge, his ass would be front and center.  In this case, I'd even record it and have it piped into this dude's cell each night to lull him to sleep.

Rot in hell, mofo.

It's just a shame the rest of this fucker's life is now paid for by taxpayers. Will Denver bill Mexico back for the cost to house and feed him for the next 80 years?  Will this country ever get seriously about border blocking those not worthy of our hospitality? I'll betcha 13 bucks marked with 'M's we wont.

Wake up and smell the invasion, people. The illegal alien crime wave is alive and well.

Even the President has finally acknowledged it.

In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America's Border and Security by Tom Tancredo, U.S. Congressman, Colorado

Many Americans were shocked by the rhetoric and demands voiced during the immigration protests in the spring of 2006. From Los Angeles to Atlanta, from Phoenix to Chicago, an estimated two million protesters marched in more than fifty cities. They demanded a blanket amnesty for illegal aliens under the banner of “immigrant rights” and insisted that rights now afforded legal immigrants should be granted to those here illegally. Anything short of that was condemned as “racist.”

How could the United States have come to such a pitiful condition?

Congressman Tom Tancredo has been the only consistent voice in our government warning Americans of the dangers of failing to secure our borders and fix the nation’s immigration system. Five years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, the U.S. Government still has done virtually nothing to secure America’s borders. The government largely ignores the threats to our safety and sovereignty resulting from its refusal to fix a broken system.

What is happening on our borders is one story, but what is happening within America is even more disturbing. As would-be terrorists plot attacks on our country, vocal advocates of multiculturalism are sapping our strength from within. Together, they form a potent adversary that is as great a threat to our nation as anything we have faced in our history.

As a result, America is in the midst of an identity crisis. As a nation we no longer seem to know who we are or what we believe. Instead of “one nation under God,” we are divided, confused, and angry. We need to understand how this has happened and the underlying causes that have brought us to this divided point.

Tom Tancredo lays out the case that unless the United States changes course, it is head toward catastrophe. Like the great and mighty empires of the past—”superpowers” that once stretched from horizon to horizon—America is heading down the road to ruin. Without strong moral leadership, without a renewed sense of purpose, without a rededication to family and community, without shunning the race hustlers and pop-culture sham artists, without protecting our borders, language, and culture, the nation that was once the “land of the free and home of the brave” and the “one last hope of mankind” will repeat the catastrophic mistakes of the past. In Mortal Danger is his prescription for beginning to repair the damage.

Stashing illegals into a house like this...

More than 50 Illegal Immigrants Found in Home

More than fifty immigrants were taken into custody Wednesday after a raid at a west side home. Police were called to the home on Senisa Street after they received a tip about stolen cars. When they arrived, they saw four people running from the house. They looked inside the "stash house" and found 51 illegal immigrants - 38 men, 12 women and a teenage girl – all crammed into three bedrooms.

Failling to understand why we're afraid to deport this...

I couldn't even see straight after reading this... so I just highlighted the things in the AP story that got my pot boiling (thanks for sending, John I should have finished my coffee first before reading).  You can read between the lines for my thoughts. If I can come up with anything coherent, I'll be back.

(AP, Sept. 26) - A man accused of fatally shooting a Houston police officer while handcuffed in the back seat of a patrol car said he "got scared" during his encounter with the officer.

Juan Leonardo Quintero, 32, also said Tuesday that he expects to be sentenced to death for last week's shooting death of 40-year-old Rodney Johnson.

Police say Johnson was shot four times in the head as he sat in his patrol car's front seat during a routine traffic stop.

Quintero, a Mexican national, has been charged with capital murder and is being held without bond in the Harris County jail.

In a jailhouse interview with the Houston Chronicle, Quintero said he couldn't explain what happened after Johnson pulled him over Thursday near Hobby Airport.

Police say Quintero has confessed to the shooting, but on Tuesday he would not admit to shooting the officer, nor would he give details of the incident.

"I got scared," Quintero said. "It's about a week, and I can't figure it out."

Prosecutors have said that Quintero remained in the back seat of the patrol car with the gun in his hand when other officers arrived. Police found bullet casings inside the car.

Quintero warned other illegal immigrants against driving without a license, as he was doing. Quintero has been deported once and crossed the border illegally again.

When asked whether he was afraid of getting deported when Johnson pulled him over, he shook his head and responded: "I got scared."

Quintero said he was sorry for Johnson's family. Johnson is survived by his wife, Joslyn Johnson, and their five children.

"I'm sorry for that family," Quintero said. "They're missing a father, and my kids are missing a father."

Quintero is on suicide watch in the jail. His wife, Theresa Quintero, has said that her husband may have been suicidal when he left their home with a gun.

But Quintero said Tuesday that he could not take his own life.

He said he wanted his wife and two stepchildren to know he was sorry.

"Tell the kids to be strong and keep going to school," he said.

May justice be served to this...

Tuesday marks the first day in the trial of Raul Gomez-Garcia in Denver.

In case you've already forgotten, Gomez-Garcia is the Mexican illegal alien who eye witnesses say made good on a threat to come back and shoot allegedly gunned down two off-duty police officers after being refused entry to a party without an invitation and then fled to his home country to escape charges.

Shots fired killed Det. Donnie Young, husband and father of two, and injured Det. Jack Bishop.

The Young Family
Donnie Young with daughters Courtney and Kelsey and wife Kelly.

According to local news reports, during the recent preliminary hearing, RG-G appeared "calm and collected" and was seen "chuckling in the courtroom following a morning recess."

I'm not chuckling. I hope the prosecution, jury and judge make an example of this law-breaker and show the public that while it is unfortunate, it is ok to cross our border to have babies, but it is positively unacceptable to cross our borders and kill our cops.

I shudder to think how much worse things will get if they don't.

Third world invasion of this...

BUCHANAN DECLARES: THIRD WORLD CONQUEST OF AMERICA

Drudge Report - **Exclusive**

As Rome passed away, so, the West is passing away, from the same causes and in much the same way. What the Danube and Rhine were to Rome, the Rio Grande and Mediterranean are to America and Europe, the frontiers of a civilization no longer defended.”

So begins a new work of warning from Pat Buchanan.

Third World Invasion

And this time Buchanan goes all the way.

cover"State Of Emergency: Third World Invasion and Conquest Of America" streets this week and is designed to jolt readers with stats/analysis of illegal immigration gone dangerously wild.

Buchanan warns: “The children born in 2006 will witness in their lifetimes the death of the West."

One in every twelve people breaking into America has a criminal record.

By 2050, there will be 100 million Hispanics concentrated in the U.S. Southwest.

Between 10 and 20 percent of all Mexicans, Central Americans and Caribbean people have already moved to the United States.

Every month, the U.S. Border Patrol apprehends more illegal aliens breaking into our country, 150,000, than the number of troops we have in Iraq.

[The book was ranked #571 on AMAZON's sales chart Sunday evening.]

Buchanan slams the president: “Concerned about his legacy, George W. Bush may yet live to see his name entered into the history of his country as the president who lost the American Southwest that James K. Polk won for the United States."

In EMERGENCY, Pat Buchanan charges the Mexican regime with an Aztlan Plot, a conscious campaign to use America as a dumping ground for its poor and unemployed, both to relieve social pressure and effect a cultural re-annexation of the American Southwest. La Reconquista, the reconquest of the lands lost by Mexico in the Mexican-American War, Buchanan charges, is underway.

The Republican Party, a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is in the grip of a cult called “Economism.” It is all about money now. The GOP worships at the “Church of GDP”

• Both parties are paralyzed by guilt over American past racial sins.

• Powerful Mexican and U.S. elites seek to erase America’s borders and merge the United States and Mexico into a “North American Union.”

In his controversial final chapter, “Last Chance,” Buchanan lays out a national plan to deal with the State of Emergency, before it makes an end of America:

• An Eisenhower-type deportation program, beginning with all illegal aliens convicted of felonies and every gang member not a U.S. citizen.

• A ten-year moratorium on all legal immigration, at the level JFK favored in 1958 -- 150,000 to 250,000 a year.

• A $10-billion, 2000-mile double-line security fence between the United States and Mexico, built with no apologies to Mexico City.

Secretly compartmentalizing this...

SAN YSIDRO, Calif. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested a U.S. man Tuesday morning after they say he tried to smuggle three migrants into the country hidden in the seats of his vehicle. CBP officers said they encountered the driver, a 33-year-old resident of Rosarito, Mexico, as he entered the port at about 5 a.m. driving a GMC Vendura van.

According to authorities, the driver stated he was a citizen of the United States and presented a valid California identification and birth certificate to the officer. [MSNBC - Aug. 9, 2006]

Illegally slaughtering this...

(AP) Yuma, Ariz. - Nine illegal immigrants were killed in a highway crash Monday while trying to elude Border Patrol agents, and at least 12 others were injured, officials said.

The large sport utility vehicle carrying up to 22 people swerved to avoid a spike strip put out by Border Patrol agents, Sheriff's Maj. Leon Wilmot said.

Four victims died at the scene and five others were pronounced dead at a hospital, he said.

Five of the injured were in critical condition, Wilmot said.

Really? Was it worth it? I suppose the driver can't be charged with murder... Manslaughter, anyone?

Fradulently amnesticizing this...

If the Senate screws the American citizens and legal immigrants again in 2006, 1 in 4 of the 9.9 million criminals that will receive amnesty, will do so fradulently:

CIS (June 2006) - Based on the outcomes of the last amnesty in 1986, we expect that nearly 10 million illegal aliens will receive amnesty under the Hagel-Martinez bill. That is, they will legalize and eventually apply for permanent residence and be eligible for citizenship. As in 1986, we also expect that one-fourth (2.6 million) will get amnesty fraudulently. The bill will also allow an estimated 4.5 million family members of illegal aliens to join their legalized relatives, for a total of 14.4 million beneficiaries. These estimates do not include the very large increases in future legal immigration in the bill.

  • Based on the 1986 amnesty, we estimate that slightly over 70 percent (7.4 million) of the 10.2 million illegals eligible for the three amnesties in Hagel-Martinez will come forward and receive amnesty   legitimately. That is, they will gain legal status allowing them to live and   work in the United States and eventually apply for permanent residence and then citizenship.
  • In addition to the 7.4 million expected to receive amnesty  legitimately, we estimate that, as in 1986, there will be one fraudulent amnesty awarded for every three legitimate ones. This means that nearly 2.6   million additional illegals will legalize fraudulently, for a total of 9.9   million.
  • In addition to the amnesty beneficiaries, the bill will allow an estimated 4.5 million family members currently living aboard to join   their newly legalized relatives for a total of 14.4 million people who will   benefit from the bill’s amnesty provisions.
  • Our assumption that the share of illegals who come forward will be similar to the share in 1986 may be too low because, unlike the last   legalization, illegals now know that amnesties are real and not a ruse by the   government to deport them. Moreover, because the border is now more difficult   to cross illegally, legalization is a more attractive option.
  • Our estimate of 2.6 million fraudulent amnesty recipients, based on the 1986 amnesty, may be too low as well because the false-document   industry is now more developed. Moreover, the overworked immigration bureaucracy already has a severe fraud problem according the Government   Accountability Office. As its workload mushrooms with amnesty, fraud will   become even more difficult to detect.
  • Of the 14.4 million illegals and their family members who will receive amnesty, we estimate that 13.5 million will eventually become permanent residents, which means they can stay as along as they wish and apply   for citizenship. The rest can be expected to die or return home before   becoming permanent residents.
  • The above estimates do not include the bill’s very large   increases in future legal immigration, which is expected to double or triple from one million a year under current law.

[...]

Conclusion: "We estimate that if the bill becames law, almost 10 million illegal aliens will legalize, 2.6 million of whom will do so fraudulently. In addition, nearly 4.5 million family members of illegal immigrants currently living abroad will be allowed to join their newly legalized relatives for a total of 14.4 million people who will benefit from the bill’s amnesty provisions. We also estimate that, of the 14.4 million who gain legal status, some 13.5 million will eventually be awarded Lawful Permanent Residence (LPR), which means they can stay in the country as along as they wish and apply for citizenship."

Read between the lines

Great.  And how many more new millions of illegals will this amnesty attract?  Australia's looking better all the time. Shit. Even Canada's looking better at this point.

Overhauling the immigration of this...

Finally!  Sounds like our president is finally taking talking points from bloggers!  Here's what he'll say tonight about this...

On Bush's ideas for immigration overhaul:

"We are a nation of laws, and we must enforce our laws. We are also a nation of immigrants, and we must uphold that tradition, which has strengthened our country in so many ways. These are not contradictory goals. America can be a lawful society and a welcoming society at the same time. We will fix the problems created by illegal immigration, and we will deliver a system that is secure, orderly, and fair."

On border security:

"Since I became president, we have increased funding for border security by 66 percent and expanded the Border Patrol from about 9,000 to 12,000 agents. ... We have apprehended and sent home about 6 million people entering America illegally.

"Despite this progress, we do not yet have full control of the border, and I am determined to change that. Tonight I am calling on Congress to provide funding for dramatic improvements in manpower and technology at the border."

On a temporary worker program:

"The reality is that there are many people on the other side of our border who will do anything to come to America to work and build a better life. They walk across miles of desert in the summer heat, or hide in the back of 18-wheelers to reach our country. This creates enormous pressure on our border that walls and patrols alone will not stop. To secure the border effectively we must reduce the numbers of people trying to sneak across."

On enforcement:

"We need to hold employers to account for the workers they hire. It is against the law to hire someone who is in this country illegally. Yet businesses often cannot verify the legal status of their employees because of the widespread problem of document fraud. Therefore, comprehensive immigration reform must include a better system for verifying documents and work eligibility. ...

"A tamper-proof card would help us enforce the law and leave employers with no excuse for violating it. And by making it harder for illegal immigrants to find work in our country, we would discourage people from crossing the border illegally in the first place."

On amnesty:

"We must face the reality that millions of illegal immigrants are already here. They should not be given an automatic path to citizenship. This is amnesty, and I oppose it. Amnesty would be unfair to those who are here lawfully and it would invite further waves of illegal immigration."

On assimilation:

"We must honor the great American tradition of the melting pot, which has made us one nation out of many peoples. The success of our country depends upon helping newcomers assimilate into our society, and embrace our common identity as Americans. Americans are bound together by our shared ideals, an appreciation of our history, respect for the flag we fly, and an ability to speak and write the English language."

On the tone of the debate:

"We must always remember that real lives will be affected by our debates and decisions, and that every human being has dignity and value no matter what their citizenship papers say."

Ask not what illegal immigration can do for this...

Illegally subcontracting the construction of this...

The Cincinnati Post - Four supervisors for Fischer Homes were among 80 people arrested Tuesday as part of a two-year probe into the use of illegal immigrant workers in the home construction industry in Northern Kentucky.

The supervisors were charged with hiring illegal immigrants. The other 76 persons arrested were charged with being in the United States illegally.

The investigation, which is continuing, ties Fischer Homes directly to the subcontractor who hired and employed the undocumented immigrants, according to court documents. Indeed, court papers say, the subcontractor, Robert Pratt, also provided housing for the immigrants, most of whom are from Mexico or Guatemala. [cont.]

The freezing in of this...

Breitbart.com - Sheriff's deputies found 56 illegal immigrants locked inside a refrigerated trailer with no driver in sight and no way for the shivering human cargo to escape.

An anonymous call led deputies to the trailer in a warehouse district of Laredo. The key was in the ignition and the trailer's refrigeration was on, but the gas tank was near empty, Webb County Sheriff Rick Flores said.

The 43 men, 11 women and two children had been in the truck for about six hours, Flores said. None was injured, but when deputies found them, they were bunched together in the center of the trailer to avoid the icy walls and to try to stay warm. [cont.]

The stupidty of educating this...

In California, Spanish-speaking students are still too stupid to learn English despite being taught. But, it would be unfair to test them so we should just let them graduate anyway, 'cause we wouldn't want to you know, be unfair. Except of course to the thousands of students who actually learned and deserve diplomas.

I know I keep promising a full round-up.  It's coming.

Meanwhile...

I'm officially over my president's stance on immigration. (Not that that's anything new.)

I am ecstatic to report my day without immigrants was essentially unaffected by the 2 million hundreds of thousands or so people in Los Angeles fighting for the rights of criminals, except for fewer cars in my way on the road.  And fewer buses, too.  Would that be due to the fact that those hundreds of thousands of criminals didn't have to hitch a ride to their illegal jobs at the expense of California taxpayers?

What the migrants leave behind is this...

Dear friends in the United States....

We are Mexican women from villages in the southern Mexico state of Guerrero.

Our brothers and husbands have left us for work in the US.

We support closing of the US-Mexico border to illegal entry.

We did not want our men to leave and we want them to return to us.

As we struggle as women, against the difficulty of our situation, we focus all effort on building a business to sustain ourselves and our children.

But we need the help of our husbands and our brothers to re-unite our families and to help us develop economic opportunity in the traditional fashion jewelry production industry that is the heritage of our parents.

Please close the US Border to illegal migration and send our men home to us.

Thank you.

Best wishes from Mexico to all persons of good will.

We should continue to be friends and respect each other.

Under the agreement, the Senate would allow undocumented workers a path to lawful employment and citizenship if they could prove -- through work stubs, utility bills or other documents -- that they have been in the country for five years. To attain citizenship, those immigrants would have to pay a $2,000 penalty, back taxes, learn English, undergo a criminal background check and remain working for 11 years.

We're acknowledging that a crime has been committed by imposing a fine (although I think it should be higher) and we're acknowledging the importance of assimilation by requiring a working knowledge of the English language.  Two steps in the right direction.  But really this is just another amnesty in disguise, which there is absolutely no reason for.  And until we close the borders, there's no point to this...

I still have more questions about this...

  • How long do the 12M illegals have to comply before being deported from this...?
  • How long do they have to learn English and who pays for this...?
  • Will we enforce this...?

Update: If La Voz de Aztlan is against it, there must be good news in this...

The US Senate compromise announced today between Democrats and Republicans proposes to send back to Mexico undocumented Mexicans who have been here less than 5 years.  This means that millions of Mexicans and their families will be uprooted and deported as was done during the US Depression (1928 - 1941) and again during Operation Wetback (1954 - 1955) in which 350,000 and 1,300,000 Mexicans were deported respectively.  The final version of the proposed anti-immigrant law  could take  more sinister overtones when it goes back the lower house where the original so called
racist Sensenbrenner Legislation originated.

Not known is whether the compromise still includes felonizing anyone who gives aid to those immigrants to be deported.  Undocumented immigrants who have been here less than 2 years will be picked up and just thrown back with no rights to their possessions.  Large concentration camps have already been built for that purpose.  Those who have been here between 2 and 5 years will still be thrown back with only an opportunity to apply for a workers permit.   The Catholic and many Evangelical Churches have said that they will break any federal law passed that prevents them from providing assistance to immigrants.  Also, many cities have passed resolutions declaring themselves "Immigrant Sanctuaries".  A Press Conference will be held at Maywood City Hall tomorrow by the pro-immigrant coalition that organized "La Gran Marcha" in Los Angeles on March 25 concerning future mass actions planned. The City of Maywood,Alta California is a leader in the Immigrant Sanctuary Movement.

Also not yet known is how millions of Mexican and other Latino students are going to react to this ugly news.  Many of these students are born in the US but have family members who will be thrown back across the border.  Their families will be torn apart.  Tens of thousands of  students in Aztlan and elsewhere  have walked out of their schools to protest the eminent danger to their families since March 24.  The students are now asking our elders to march with them and to help assure their safety.

The USA has a shameful history in its dealings with Mexico and with its citizens that reside in Mexico's former territories .  The US waged a criminal war of conquest and confiscated over two thirds of Mexico's territory.  It invaded Mexico through Veracruz and marched all the way to Mexico City (Tenochtitlan) where at "El Castillo de Chapultepec", the Mexican-American War's final battle, they massacred six teenage Mexican military cadets (Los Niños Heroes).  In front of "El Castillo de Chapultepec" the invading US forces then "hung" the members of the Batallon San Patricio (St. Patrick's Battalion) who helped defend Chapultepec.  St. Patrick's Battalion consisted of Irish fighters, who after realizing the shameful nature of the US war, decides to desert the US Army and fight on Mexico's side.

After the Mexican-American War, Mexicans in Mexico's former territories lost their land.  Vast "Ranchos" were taken by hordes of Anglos who migrated during the Gold Rush of 1949. Unscrupulous Gringos and Jews then learned to exploit Mexican labor.  They, with the assistance of the federal government,  allowed Mexican workers to migrate to the US when needed but deported them when they were no longer useful. That is one reason why 350,000 Mexicans were deported during "The Great Depression".  During Wold War II through the Korean War there was a labor shortage and Mexican workers were again allowed to migrate through the Bracero Program. Soon after the Korean War, the US government instituted "Operation Wetback" and 1,300,00 Mexicans were again deported back to Mexico.

This "Bienvenidos" and then "Hasta la Vista" US policy must stop.  We can not allow the continued devastation and tearing apart of our families.  We must put a stop to this exploitation once and for all. Let us prepare to fight back and to defend ourselves.  We must organize and mobilize!

Join "El Gran Boicot" to be held on May 1st  and let us have a "Million Latino March" on Washington in June or July.
