Gays not righteous enough for this...
It really pisses me off how some Christians have come to the conclusion that being gay is a more unforgivable sin than any other. This week it's the Baptist affiliated University of the Cumberlands:
Reaction grows to gay student's expulsion
[Jason] Johnson, a sophomore majoring in theater arts, was expelled from the university Thursday because he declared online that he is gay. In a statement released last week, the university's president, Jim Taylor said students are held to a "higher standard" and that "students know the rules before they come to this institution."
So, are they going to expel all the students engaging in sex outside marriage? or just the gay ones? And what about the adulterous professors? Ok, so they didn't actually say there were any, but what is the possibility that this is the only university in the country that doesn't have at least one professor sleeping with a student?

>It really pisses me off how some Christians have come to the conclusion that being gay is a more unforgivable sin than any other.<
I totally agree with you here, TGOM...how is it any different than any other SIN, period? It's hard enough to try to set an example, and to explain our beliefs to non-Christians w/out ridiculous actions such as this one by so-called "Christian" leaders.
Unless I've been totally misled in my understanding of the Christian life, I still sin everyday, so I'm certainly no worse than the guy who has a different sexual preference ...Remember the bumper sticker that said something like:
"Christians are not perfect...just forgiven"?
Simple and pithy, but true!
Since the Bible tells us that even lusting after someone is the same as carrying out the act...well, I would say we are all busted!
Shame on them. They certainly aren't practicing the elementary idea of WWJD.

Holy Mother of Pearl! I'm accepted to that University with a scholarship! I was ACTUALLY GOING TO GO! Thank you soooo much for posting that, because although I am a Christian, I don't agree with that kind of discrimination (which is what it is) and I'm glad that I chose not to attend that school!! -whitney
