Off in my auto to work unitedly to bring a win to this...
See ya back here after this...
Milk. We know it does a body good. But can it do anything for engines? I'm off to Sin City to deliver my personal best wishes to the #8.
There were highs and lows, but overall a great time was had by all at this...
The Good:
Good company and previously and newly fulfilled wishes. Thanks again for the pit cap, Allan. A new tank top to add to the collection, thanks for the spending money, mom. I used it mostly for stuff to keep. (A kick ass t-shirt from the best Harley Davidson merchandise store that's sure to make an appearance in a future photo and a Coca-Cola souvenir bottle, of course. Ate the rest and gambled only $20 away on my last night.)
Other highlights from the weekend include this...
- Free race tickets, nominal contribution to group hotel arrangements and shared gas--we gotta do this again.
- Drinking dollar margaritas from the Casino Royale
- Discovering CB&TL in The Venetian
- Scoring 2 Dale Jr. Budweiser Racing promotional items from a bar with cool bartenders willing to look the other way
- Watching Tony Stewart play craps--if only I'd been carrying the camera while roaming the casino of the Monte Carlo in the wee hours of the morning.
- Getting picked up by a sweet 23-year-old college boy on spring break, in the city of sin for the first time in a club he'd never seen the likes of. I think getting picked up in Studio 54 Las Vegas is pretty much guaranteed for every female, but this is the 2nd time in two months for your tallglassofmilk and the young'ns. This one a political science major obsessed with a high interest in current events--more walking and lots of talking in the wee hours of the morning. I could get used to this...
The bad:
- Walking around for 5+ miles the first day in flip-flops thereby severely prohibiting shoe options for the remainder of the weekend.
The worst service ever in the NASCAR Cafe. The place was a huge disappointment overall and terrible management. The cars on display did not appear to be well taken care of.
The ugly:
-
Junior takin' out Brian VIckers and himself on lap 13. Dale Jr.: "Big mistake on my part. I went into the corner like I thought I should, and he got in there a little easier than I expected. I got all over him, ran all over him. It's my fault, and I apologized to him. That's about all I know. I pride myself on being a smart, patient driver who doesn't cause many wrecks. I don't know what my track record is, but I don't make too many mistakes like that. Today I made one, and I feel real bad about it. I feel bad for my team, because we had a good car. It was a little loose, but good. We had passed a few cars right there at the start, and I felt like we could have definitely left here with a top 10. I'm pretty disappointed with myself." - Penalties for #48, #5 and #29 teams.
I'm ready to experience this...
The Richard Petty Driving Experience
By the way, that's the Chance 2 Motorsports pullover I mentioned previously would be making an appearance here.

Go for it! I got zapped by the radar gun at the Richard Petty Driving Experience in Orlando "The Mickyard" just outside of Disney World at 152mph! Worth every penny. Yer pal,
