Here's another good reason why the elderly should be given driving tests every day of their lives after 80...

The accident happened in the parking lot of a Pembroke Pines Walmart.

An 88-year-old woman backing out of a parking space Monday afternoon ran over two tourists, pinning them under her car, police said.

Marie Miller was driving in the parking lot of the Pembroke Pines Walmart store on Southwest 151st Street and 184th Avenue. The couple she allegedly ran into, Josefina and Abel Pachon, who are in their 60s, were visiting from Columbia.

Witnesses removed the woman from underneath the car. A jack was needed to lift the car before the man could be pulled out.

The Pachons are both in serious condition.

Did you hear about the Airbus Superjumbo A380?

The A380 may indeed take some business away from Boeing, but European leaders like Gerhard Schroeder and Jose Luis Zapatero would do well not to read too much into the introduction of the double-decker airliner.

Schroeder took the opportunity of the A380's official unveiling to take a shot at the Bush Administration's labeling of European Union countries as "Old Europe" saying, "Good 'Old Europe' has made this possible."

Zapatero characterized Europe as "unstoppable" when it pools its efforts.

Easy guys. All it'd take is a couple of disgruntled Islamofascists to turn an A380 into just another tactical weapon. With a human payload of 840 souls, a wing-span of 261.83 feet, and the capacity to hold up to 658,300 pounds of jet kerosene, you don't need to guess about that grin on Osama's face.

This made me laugh. Hopefully it will give you a giggle as well.

Coming soon to a theater near you: movie listings that print the start time for the main feature.

Frustrated with lengthy advertisements and previews that delay movies and chew up viewing time, a state lawmaker wants theaters to be honest about when a movie actually starts.

State Rep. Andrew Fleischmann is proposing legislation to force movie listings to print the time the previews start, and when the movies start.

"We're being robbed of our freedom of choice because we're not told when the actual movie will begin," said Fleischmann, a Democrat.

US citizens take border patrols into own hands
A United States citizens group is recruiting hundreds of volunteers to patrol the country's border with Mexico, saying the US Government has failed to stem the flow of illegal immigrants.

Organisers of the MinuteMan Project say they have signed up 200 people from across the country to patrol a stretch of the border in Arizona to search for illegal aliens.

Each year, about 1 million illegal immigrants are caught crossing the 3,000-kilometre border between the US and its southern neighbour.

Even more are thought to get through.

Critics of the initiative say it is a vigilante group and fear over-eager volunteers may use firearms to intimidate migrants.

LOL.. I got a big laugh out of this WaPo article "The Red Sea"

Want to know why George Bush won? Set sail into the crimson heart of America.

Early in December, with a photographer and his assistant, I drove from Nebraska, near the geographical center of the United States, to the heart of Texas -- more than 700 miles, through empty spaces and sprawling cities and all or part of four states. We headed pretty much due south, no dodging or weaving. And never did we pass within 100 miles of a county that voted for Democrat John F. Kerry in the recent election.

It gets pretty funny when you get into it. Found over at Ravenwood's Universe
