Miracles temerariously promised by this...

Shameless. Today John Edwards exploited freshly heart-wounded superhero fans everywhere and preyed on the hopes of desperate families when he created an embryo he can't deliver with this...

'We will stop juvenile diabetes, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and other debilitating diseases... When John Kerry is president, people like Christopher Reeve are going get up out of that wheelchair and walk again.'
~ Senator John Edwards
Oct. 12, 2004 Newton, Iowa

I believe they call this false prophecy by a faux scientific evangelist. And after seeing visions of Senator John Kerry and the "if you don't worship me you must be racist--pay up or I'll expose you" preachers at the pulpit making a pact with the devil, it was enough for me to pause for a quite moment of reflection and appreciation for Thomas Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists.

It also made me realize how much I admire the agility with which our faithful president has navigated the frequently misunderstood wall of separation between church and state.

I'd heard just about enough of the blather about a supposed "ban" on stem cell research, but John Edwards' speech about helping the crippled to walk through embryo stem cell research pushed me over the edge. In 2002 I published a Note (the term for an ... [Read More]

Whoa! Those are some damned heafty promises he's making there!
Unless one of the two of them is the Anti-christ, I seriously doubt that any of those things will come about. They'd be to busy messing this country up beyond repair. With the type of healthcare system the Toilets are wanting, people with those problems would die before even getting to see the first doctor, and if they lived that long, heaven only knows if they'd be diagnosed properly!

If this doesn't expose Edwards as the Ambulance Chaser he is, I don't know what will...

It reminds me of an old Cheech & Chong joke. Two dogs sitting on the curb, debating the safety of chasing cars...

Dog1: Chasing cars gives you brain damage.

Dog2: That's ludicrous, car exhaust won't give you brain damage.

Dog1: Yes, but getting your head run over by the rear tire will...

Edwards' words make me think he's followed one too many Ambulances too closely...

Cheers,

Edwards is used to smiling and crying and tugging at heartstrings to manipulate a jury to award millions of dollars in lawsuit loot. After doing his best to bankrupt the healthcare business with all of his lawsuits he now wants to reform it so that there are caps on lawsuit settlements. This democrat hyprocrisy is so common. After they get what they want then they decide to make it illegal for anyone else to do it. Like Kerry with his gas guzzling jet and SUV's, he burns fuel like it's water while telling us that we need to cut back.

Edwards and Kerry are going to lose and they know it so they might as well pull out all the stops and just lie about everything. The bigger the lie the more they think unsophisicated, uneducated, poor, regular folk (anyone other than a Yale lawschool grad and New England elitist) well believe it. This latest gaffe is another in a long line of bullshi* which just shows how stupid they think people are.

This is the problem with these 2 pricks. They think that everyone except them and their elitist friends are to stupid to run our own affairs and that we need them to do it. The way they do this is by taxing the shi* out of everything like gas and wages and anything else they can tax to create hoards of new government workers that don't do much more than look at their watches for the next break and can't wait to clock out and go home. Their government programs won't work, never have, never will. Clinton had 8 years to fulfill all his campaign promises and look at the state of affairs after he left. Where was the health care he promised, what about education? He did'nt do shi* to help all the people he promised he would help and now we have the same shi* being said by Kerry and Edwards. More promises that they won't fulfill. How can people continue to buy these democrat lies over and over every 4 years? If I was black I would say fuc* you democrats. If I was any minority I would say fuc* you democrats.

Why? The democrats need an underclass of downtrodden and dejected people. It's required that they keep as many people as possible unhappy about their lives and always wanting more.

Why? So that they can get their votes. It's the democrats that have the motive of keeping millions of Americans down. If people had universal heathcare and all these things, they would'nt vote democrat anymore.

Can't the democrat followers see this. It's the democrat leadership that wants people to be poor and miserable. They rely on this to make all these campaign promises year after year but they sure don't want to fix it.

Why? Because then they would be out of a job.

Don't buy it anymore, democrats will keep you in a perpetual state of need so that you keep voting for them.

Did I misread that, or did Edwards promise to raise the dead?

[Did I misread that, or did Edwards promise to raise the dead?]

Well, since people like Christopher Reeve are dead, I guess you could say he did.

Way to read between the lines Ultra.
