Fourth season run in the house of this...

Season 4

Season 4 of Run's House is here, and the Simmons family has once again opened their home to MTV's cameras.

The new season finds the family at the beginning of a summer full of surprises. Rev Run's daughters are anxious to fly the coop and move to Los Angeles, while Run and Justine prepare their home for a possible new addition to the family. JoJo is graduating from high school and on a quest for a record label deal, Diggy is starting to like girls and Russy is growing up fast. But when circumstances pull Angela and Vanessa from their New York City apartment, they land back at Run's House for the summer, and Rev Run knows this could be the last time his entire family is under one roof.

New Season Premieres October 25th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Tragic twist of fate for this...

TMZ.com - A rapper's wife gave birth Thursday, but the scene quickly turned to tragedy after their newborn girl was pronounced dead.

Rev Run, a.k.a. Joseph Simmons, shocked fans last year when he announced that his wife Justine was pregnant on his MTV reality show "Rev's House."

Justine's pregnancy was the cliffhanger on the MTV show last season. It generated intense interest among viewers who have been anxiously following the pregnancy and awaiting the birth.

Simmons, a member of the legendary rap group Run DMC, was at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey Tuesday for the birth of his child. Doctors delivered the baby via c-section, revealing a cruel twist of fate -- the baby was born with her organs outside the body. The newborn died a short time later.

TMZ has learned that MTV cameras were inside the hospital at the time of the birth, though we do not know if they were in the delivery room.

    Quoting this...
Revered Joseph Simmons, Sept. 27: "On September 26, 2006, Victoria Anne Simmons for some unknown reason chose to come early and unfortunately did not survive. We must accept whatever is there and once you accept unconditionally, then everything is beautiful. Every pain has a purifying effect. So whatever comes your way, just be thankful. We see life in death and believe in the celebration of
    life in death."

Russell Simmons, Sept. 28: "I just spoke to Joey and Justine, and they're very strong - the whole family is very strong. Being overwhelmed by grief is the normal state of things, but they recognize that it's all God. I don't think they're overwhelmed by grief, but they're struggling."

Third season in the house of this...

    Q. Will Run's House have a Fall series?
    A. No. But they will start taping this fall (Sept. 26) for a third season.  Presumably it will air in January and will be preceded by a Christmas special.

Declaring a positive role model in this...

The Kansas City Star, Aug. 17, 2006 - We're ready to declare Angela Simmons, 18, a positive role model in a sea of vacant young celebrities. The Reverend Run's daughter has charmed us all on Season 2 of MTV's "Run's House." The show takes us into the home of the Simmons family — the Reverend Run, his wife, Justine, daughters Vanessa and Angela, and sons Jojo, Diggy and Russell (with a baby on the way!).

    Angela Simmons

    Why we like Angela:

    • She's grounded — she acted like the big sister to big sister Vanessa on a photo shoot, reminding Vanessa to stay true to the morals of the family. (Vanessa was featured in Maxim magazine.)
    • She's smart — she reportedly earned straight A's in high school and is heading to college in the fall. (A storyline in tonight's episode.)
    • She's hard working — she had the idea to start a magazine and put in the hours on a prototype and stories. A trial run is scheduled.
    • She loves her family. And that's enough for us.

Catch the season finale of the show at 8:30 tonight on MTV. The show's publicist says no word yet on whether there will be a Season 3.

A new baby in the house of this...

    Run and Justine Simmons

    Q. Is Justine really going to a have baby in real life?
    A. On the first episode of the second season of MTV's "Run's House," Justine Simmons expressed her desire to have another child:

Looking at baby photos sparks Justine's desire to have another baby. Rev Run tries to convince Justine otherwise, but she is certain about what she wants. When Vanessa, Angela and JoJo leave to visit their mother Valerie in Queens, Russy asks his father to allow him to have a sleepover with friends. Rev Run agrees, feeling that Justine will see how rowdy children can be and change her mind about wanting to have a baby.

Once Diggy and Russy's friends are at the house, Rev Run tells them a story about a man who used to walk down the street with a funny walk and say "Kah-toe-mah-taay." To Rev Run's amusement, all of the kids try the cool walk. When it's time to go to bed, the kids remain awake, banging on the walls as Rev Run and Justine try to rest.

Despite the rowdy sleepover night, Justine still wants to have another baby, so the family agrees to try to have another Simmons. "Can there be too much of a good thing? Not when it comes to family. Every child is a blessing. And when your family expands, your blessings multiply. Tune into yourself and to your spouse because the love you share may lead to a whole new life." -- Rev Run

Daddy has an open mind about this...

Ford model Vanessa Simmons, the 21-year-old daughter of former RUN-DMC star Joseph "Run" Simmons, shocked her dad when she told him she would be posing for sexy men's magazine Maxim.

The rapper turned reverend said this...

"My daughter is in Maxim magazine. She has to wear a bathing suit. Oh, Jesus.

She said, 'Daddy, I have to be in Maxim magazine.' I said, 'Can I come to the photo shoot?' She said no, so I sent Angela, my youngest daughter to go and watch.

I'm just trying to make sure I can keep my kids guided correctly and let them have a fun time at the same time.

Sometimes it's hard to let go. You have to close your eyes and hope for the best. I've seen the photos, but haven't seen the magazine, it hasn't made it's way into the house, (but) I'm open."

    Update: Maxim's 2006 Hot 100

    A real reverend is this...

    Q. Is Joseph Simmons a real reverend?
    A. Yes. Reverend Run is an ordained minister at Zoe Ministries, a prophetic ministry based in Harlem.

    Is Justine mother to this...?

    Q. Is justine the mother of all of joe simmons kids?
    A. Justine is the birth mother of Daniel ("Diggy") and Russell ("Russy") and the stepmother of Vanessa, Angela and Jojo.

Daughters in the house of this...

Vanessa SimmonsVanessa is the oldest child and after course work this summer will be a graduate of St. John's University. A Ford model and aspiring actress, when Vanessa isn't out on auditions and castings she can be found at home with her family and her pet dog, a miniature Yorkie, Juicy. Juicy is as fly as any member of the Simmons family.

Angela SimmonsAngela's the smart student. She recently graduated from the Fashion High School of NYC with an A average and will be attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in the fall. Angela often thinks that the Simmons name is a blank check for extravagance.

Last year, the girls were featured on MTV's "Run's House."
