A. Internet message boards and the Answer this... inbox and search engine referrals are abuzz with the news that Athena Barber is pregnant! The tallglassofmilk has confirmed that Athena is indeed expecting a baby boy, due in January.
Athena, who is best known to NASCAR fans as the Hottest NASCAR Wag and former longtime girlfriend of Clint Bowyer, has most recently been romantically linked to Robby Gordon. The two became involved in an intimate relationship in late February 2009.
Currently, Athena is a correspondent for 3 Wide Life and she recently obtained her license as a Property and Casualty Insurance Producer. She is also clearly looking forward to becoming a mommy:

NASCAR owner and former Cup championship crew chief Ray Evernham and his former development driver Erin Crocker were married in a small ceremony in Las Vegas on August 26.
A personal relationship between owner and driver was first suggested in April 2006 right here on Answer this..., after sources confirmed the two had gone public at the track. It came on the heels of Evernham's announcement that he and his wife of 19 years were separating and was ill-received by readers.
The relationship was later referenced in court papers filed by Evernham Motorsports driver Jeremy Mayfield, who alleged that Evernham's "close personal relationship" with Crocker was affecting the team. Evernham was perturbed by the gossip and refused to address the topic of his personal life when raised by the press, who had a field day -- some even suggesting that they'd been threatened with denial of team access if they asked questions or wrote about it.
A year or so after all the hoopla died down, Evernham admitted that his credibility had been damaged and that their relationship had a detrimental effect on Crocker's own driving career.
The couple has endured despite suffering more their fair share of public criticism and encountering plenty of their own everyday relationship struggles we all face.

While we're on the subject of new pit road adornments, Brian Vickers' girlfriend, Speed TV's motocross reporter Erin Bates, was by his side at Chicagoland a couple of weeks ago. She made her NASCAR trackside debut at Darlington in May. Go red.
Q. Are they dating? A. That question would be easy to dismiss if the 23-year-old Syracuse area-based driver had only appeared with Smoke at The Glen. However, Jessica has also attended at least two of the last four races with Tony. Some say he is her mentor. Others speculate the two have a potential owner/driver relationship. Either or both are possible. But ... the most coveted spot next to a driver on pit road during opening ceremonies is usually reserved for current and aspiring NASCAR WAGs, not mentees. Draw your own conclusions.
2009 Shaping Up to be Big Year for Matt and Katie Kenseth
How apropos that the biggest NASCAR WAG headline of season-opening weekend belongs to the wife of Daytona 500 winner Matt Kenseth.
Katie Kenseth is expecting the couple's first child together!
... she's about five months along. These two have been married for eight years and fans have been waiting for forEVer for this great news. Congrats to Matt and Katie.

C'mon, Ryan and Krissie Newman. You could be next! A word of warning to the fans hoping for this ... Krissie once said she didn't want to start a family until Ryan was within five years of retirement. Be careful what you wish for.
This wasn't my favorite performance by Gavin DeGraw and I saw some harsh critiques on Twitter today. Do not let this discourage you from checking him out or seeing him in concert. He is just fantastic: 2nd time's a charm and charmed I was by this...

Q. On the Denny Hamlin episode of CMT's "Cribs," they showed a woman that he introduced as Ms. Hawaiian Tropic. She looks familiar. Are they dating now?
A. No. While popular NASCARolina swimsuit model Shana Prevette has been linked with a few NASCAR drivers, including Robby Gordon, David Stremme and the recently engaged Anthony Foyt IV, she is now married. The new bride met her husband, Aaron Hershman, last fall. They got hitched less than two weeks later in Las Vegas.
Q. Speaking of Stremme and Gordon ... status please. A.
David Stremme is still seeing Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s former girlfriend, Elizabeth Peschock. Sources say the couple is "mostly on" but the relationship is still in the first-three-month-trial phase. Given that this is the off season--that's like a guaranteed return policy. All bets are off 'til reality sets in after Daytona. Robby Gordon spent time over the holidays with baby Max and baby mama Sarah, but it was his girlfriend Sherry that accompanied him to South America for the Dakar Rally. To each his own definition of this status.
