Ingrid shows off post-baby bod in this...

Hot Mama
Ingrid Vandebosch, wife of NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon
and mother of Ella Sofia, shows off her post pregnancy body
in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2008 issue

UPDATE
Q. Why did they ask her to pose? She hasn't worked since getting with Jeff, why not use a current model that needs a break?

A. Why? Why not?! The theme was sports wives and she did hold down the "hottest" title for quite some time before being overthrown by Athena Barber. Ingrid was one of three four popular sports figures' wives to pose in this year's issue. She was joined by Carmella DeCesare (Jeff Garcia), who she crushed in the Hottest Sports WAG Competition, La La Vazquez (Carmello Anthony) and Michelle Damon (Johnny Damon).

Gordon delivery won't interrupt the schedule of this...

Earlier today, Jeff Gordon and Ingrid Vandebosch welcomed a new daughter into the world. Ella Sofia Gordon was born at 9:09 a.m., weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20 inches long.

Quoting this...
"It's been an absolutely incredible experience. Ingrid came through amazingly and we're both really happy and overjoyed. We can't wait to get home and start our lives together as a family."

The four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will travel to Northern California later this week and is scheduled to participate in all on-track activities at Infineon Raceway, site of this weekend's NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race.

Congrats to them!

Hold the diapers and bottles for this...

The Charlotte Observer asked 20 questions of NASCAR Nextel Cup Champion Jimmie Johnson, including one about his and wife Chani's plans to become parental units:

Do you and Chandra want to be parents?

Quoting this...
JJ: "Certainly. It was funny, we were on vacation. Jeff (Gordon) was down in St. Bart's as well with his wife Ingrid (Vandebosch). His lifestyle has changed a lot now that she's pregnant. We had four different friends down there, all with kids -- the oldest being 2 or 3. Just mobile and on a tear. And we're watching our friends chase their kids and worry about bottles and we looked at each other and said, `You know what? Maybe we should just hold off for a while.'"

Gordon: "There's no way it's not going to change my life, not just the responsibilities that come along with it, but knowing there's something that has a part of you in it.  That's something I really look forward to being a part of. So in that way, yes, it will change my schedule and a lot of things.  I'm going to have to adjust, and if anything takes away from racing, it's that adjustment, not because now all of a sudden I've lost that edge or I've lost every bit of that aggressiveness."
