He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo. Marty was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1971. JR Motorsports will begin the 2006 race season with three teams, a new shop and a
charge to establish itself as an up-and-coming force in stock car
racing. "Veteran" JR Motorsports driver, Mark McFarland, will be behind
the wheel of the No. 88 NAVY Chevrolet in his quest for the 2006 NASCAR
Busch Series title and Rookie of the Year award.
"The NAVY has given us a great opportunity to show that we are serious
with what we want to do at JR Motorsports," said McFarland. "I am proud
to represent the integrity and fortitude that the NAVY stands for."
Shane Huffman, the 2003 USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series champion, comes over after a one year stint with Knight's Racing where he finished second in the Championship Series. Wes Ward brings lots of experience, most recently from his tenure as the crew chief of the No. 22 Busch Series ride of Kenny Wallace, and he will be on top of the box. Huffman and Ward will take over the reins of the No. 32 Hooters Pro Cup program that is coming off of a top-ten Championship Series finish with McFarland.
Richard Boswell and Scott Young will pilot the R&B late model stock cars. The JR Motorsports' late model has become a well-known fixture around the short tracks of the Southeast.
What began as a way for team owner, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and friends to have fun has turned into a burgeoning stock car stable.
Actually the first foray into racing for JR Motorsports came in the form of a "street stock" car that was driven at Concord Motorsports Park in Concord, NC during the summer of 2002. T.J. Majors gave JR Motorsports their first win in this car.
McFarland was hired in late 2004 and quickly picked up three big wins, against stiff competition, in the black-and-orange No. 17. After a full season in the Hooters Pro Cup ride, he is ready to take on some of the world's best stock car drivers who fill the starting grid at any NASCAR Busch Series event.
The NAVY brings an excited and enthusiastic sponsorship on board and the two should be poised to make waves in 2006.
"We are very excited about further increasing our awareness through NASCAR in 2006 by an association with JR Motorsports and Dale Earnhardt Jr., one of the most recognized names in NASCAR," said Rear Adm. Jeffrey Fowler, commander, Navy Recruiting Command.

Delana Lynne Harvick (b. July 1973) is the wife of NASCAR Nextel Cup driver Kevin Harvick The two met during driver introductions at Michigan International Speedway in 1999 and were formally introduced by a mutual friend, Kevin's current crew chief, Todd Berrier, at a Christmas party for Richard Childress Inc.
Kevin and Delana secretly dated until they became engaged almost a year to the day of their first date. They were married on Feb. 28, 2001 in Las Vegas, in the middle of the week during the beginning of the whirlwind season that Kevin unexpectedly took over driving--and winning--for the late Dale Earnhardt.
Delana, a self-proclaimed "race brat," made her first trip to the track at three weeks old. Her father, John Paul Linville, was a racecar driver and tasked her with such duties as sweeping the floors at the shop and keeping score at the races. By age 14, Delana was a team manager and dabbled in driving herself, racing late models and legends. She also worked as a public relations representative for driver Randy LaJoie and Jeff Gordon.
Now, Delana is a car owner and manages the day-to-day operations of Kevin Harvick Inc., which opened for business in 2001 fielding Busch and Craftsman Truck series teams. Her focus is on licensing, merchandising and management of 50-plus employees.

KHI's first full time entry was NCTS in 2004 and in three years they have scored two top 5s and a top 10 finish in owner points. Also a top performer in the Busch series, the owners claimed the 10th spot in both 2005 and 2006, their first two full time seasons.
The #33 also drove to victory lane in the Busch series' Daytona 300 in its first two efforts. At the close of the 2006 season, Daytona International Speedway president Robin Braig made a special presentation renaming the historic track "DeLana International Speedway" for the day.

Delana: "To be able to come back [to Daytona] and to have won the Busch race two years in a row, taking a look back to where I came from, I'm pretty proud of that. It means a lot to me. I'm really honored. How many people get to have their name on Daytona's walls?"
Delana holds an English degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. The couple currently resides in Delana's hometown of Kernersville, N.C. and have reportedly decided to delay having children until Kevin retires from driving.
